The oval dolls house basket can easily be decorated to make an Easter basket. You can weave the sides or the entire basket from colored embroidery thread, colored linen embroidery thread, or crochet cotton in white or colors.
Now that you have practised weaving with a flat fiber, you can also use strips of curling ribbon, raffia, or narrow ribbon to weave the basket over a wire base.
To fill the basket I used a heat fusible fiber called Angelina available in many Easter colors from quilting stores. This fine cut plastic fiber looks a lot like scale cellophane for Easter grass in miniature baskets. You could also cut up narrow scraps of cellophane or cellophane candy wrappers and use those.
If you want, you can decorate your basket with a fluffy easter chick. You can make Easter eggs by rolling scraps of colored foil into egg shapes, or by making tiny eggs from polymer clay
Polymer clay can also be used to make chocolate bunnies or eggs.
