This miniature working trouble light, made using an LED, can be created in collectible car, dolls house or model railroad scales and doesn't give off heat that might damage a delicate model. Even better, as it gives off light, it draws attention to the engine bay, or whichever detail of a scale model you want to highlight.

If you just want a trouble light as an accessory for a garage, where the light function isn't important, you can use a clear bead instead of the led for the light bulb. You can also use regular dollhouse light bulbs for this light, but remember that they may give off enough heat to damage paint if they are touching it directly.
