Removing the Miniature Bow From the Form

Ribbon bow with a wire folded in half and twisted tightly up to the ribbon to hold the center.

Slide the loops off of the miniature bow maker and tighten the wire in the center of the loops by twisting the loops around the wire.

Lift the ribbon stack off the nails and twist the stack around on the ends of the wire to tightly bind the wire to the ribbon. The bow may look strange at this point, as it will be a cluster of ribbon loops held tightly in the center by a wire.

If you would rather, you can use thread for this step, and knot it around the loops of ribbon. The bow will not be as easy to shape if you use thread instead of ribbon, but thread may be preferable to wire if you are going to sew or glue a bow in place.
