Single or Multiple Loop Miniature Bows

Narrow ribbon wrapped in figure eights around straight nails to form even loops for miniature bows.

Wrap narrow ribbon in figure eight loops around the bow former to set up the loops for the bow. Wrap an equal number of loops on either side. Make sure the right side of the ribbon is facing out.

Single or Multiple Loop Miniature Bows

Single Loop Bows only need a single wrap of ribbon around each post before you secure the center (see the next step). If the ribbon or bead trim is not stiff enough for the width of your bow, you may still be able to make a multiple loop bow.

Adjust the Shape By Adding Loops Standard florists bows for small plants, floral arrangements and wreaths have three to four loops on each side of the bow. The photo above shows a four loop miniature bow on the posts. Note how the ribbon has been woven over and across in a figure eight and set with an equal number of loops on either side.
