• Needle or Jewelers Miniature Files These usually come in inexpensive sets. You can substitute fine sandpaper or an old fashioned metal fingernail file for the miniature files, but they are a useful tools for many projects.
• Fine Sandpaper to finish the pickets
• Hobby Saw or Craft KnifeTo cut pickets to length
• Wood Clamp to hold multiple stir sticks while you file them.
