Vignettes and Miniature Windowbox Displays From the Fall 2010 Seattle Show

By , About.com Guide

Windowboxes, frames and vignettes are great ways to present smaller collections or parts of a scene that might be missed in a larger display. The Seattle Dollhouse Miniature Show always has a wide range of vignettes and windowboxes in several scales. These small stand alone displays can be very effective, and allow miniaturists to show off a wide range of items using picture frames, domes, interesting containers, or free standing arrangements. Many of these displays are intentionally designed small, in order to be given as a gift, or to commemorate an event.

If you have a small, focussed or linked group of miniatures, consider how you might be able to show them off to advantage in a vignette or window box. The clever displays in this gallery should give you some great ideas!
