Adding Personality to a Scene

This simple kitchen scene is set with a few clues that explain its owner, and make it stand out from any old kitchen table.

All the standard elements for a kitchen scene with baking are in place in this scene. There's a bit of a suggestion of Christmas on the shelves, but nothing over the top. What sets it apart from other scenes is the storyline drawn by the creator, and the inclusion of a few special pieces to intrigue your interest about whose kitchen this is, and when. You can't see them here, but there is a turn of the century cookbook open on the table, along with vintage kitchen tools and a bowl of gingerbread cookies. An older version of Fannie Farmer's cookbook is on the top of the kitchen dresser. You can see more details in the enlargement on the next page of this gallery.
