To create this Russian Style gold trimmed egg, gold paint was added to acrylic medium to make a thicker paint, and a very fine cake icing tube (reserved for use with paint instead of food) was used to pipe lines of thick gold paint onto the egg. You can also use a glue syringe or a sturdy plastic bag with a tiny hole cut in it to pipe thickened paint onto miniatures.

Tiny stickers from a stamp store were then used to act as gems on the egg.
