Gather the Materials to Make Miniature Photo Eggs

To Make the Miniature Photo Eggs You Will Need:

  • Miniature Half Eggs These are commonly available from the unfinished wood section of craft stores and are often labelled wren's eggs
  • Acrylic Paints in your choice of colors as a base or decoration for the eggs.
  • Acrylic Medium to thicken acrylic paint and allow it to be shaped into 3 dimensional lines using icing tips, glue syringes or a fine hole cut in a plastic bag.
  • Family Photos of a size suitable to mount to the flat side of your miniature egg.
  • Tiny Decorations These can be made as shown using glaze pens or tiny stickers from a scrapbook or stamp shop, or you can use paint techniques,tiny stamps, jewelery findings, decoupage, or bits of fabric or beads to decorate your eggs.
  • White (PVA) Glue to glue the decorations, thread and photos in place.
  • Small Sharp Scissors
  • Paint brushes
