Scenery Modeling Techniques

From Lesley Shepherd, About.com

Scenery modeling is a large part of most well developed railroad clubs. These techniques are worth observing and applying to other miniature displays.

Trestles and tunnels are a specialty of many modeling clubs who model tracks that traverse mountains. This effective display shows how more than one interesting element can be combined in a display if the perspective and view point are carefully considered.

For the times when the train is out of view, this section of track also contains a set of mountain climbers and a washed out section of track which are not shown in this photograph.
