Guide Review - Garden Railways Magazine Review
This is a magazine I always check out on news stands. Often they have coverage of modelling techniques which other publications don't explore with the same depth.
While the magazine focusses on new introductions, projects for rolling stock, track layouts or landscaping, it also covers simple tool tips and techniques that can be used by modellers in scales other than G or 1:22.5 - 1:28. As G scale is similar to half scale dolls house scale (1:24) many of the items and materials referenced can be used by half scale modellers.
Past issues have contained information on everything from casting resin, taking photographs of scale railways, and controlling the growth of plants, through to making model buildings that will stand up to winters on the central plains. The excellent photography and views of reader submitted tips, techniques and layouts, means this is a magazine that is used a lot for reference.
