"Frozen moments" hold a period of time to lend interest to models and make them seem more alive. The frozen moment project on the October 2012 calendar is one that combines the effect of pouring liquids and solids, along with splashes where the objects enter a liquid. No messy slow curing resins are involved. October's witch's stew is made from polymer clay and acrylic artist's mediums.
The miniature eyeballs pouring into the stew are made from polymer clay canes. This technique is used to good effect to make the eyes for the Halloween cat. This needlefelting technique can be used for any cat breed, not just a scrawny Halloween variety.
The printable pdf (acrobat reader) file CD calendar page for October is combined with the September calendar page.
