Make this miniature penguin cookie jars or biscuit jar with an opening lid, to add to your dolls house kitchen scenes. You can show the jar being filled, or emptied. It can also be made without an opening to add a sense of fun, or indicate the collecting tendencies of the dolls house residents.
Although I made this jar in the shape of a penguin, you can create a range of character cookie jars based on the round bead you use as a form. For ideas for different styles, see Barb's McCoy Cookie Jar Collection or her A-Z list of collectible cookie jars. To create similar jars in miniature scale, pick a jar which could be shaped over a glass bead as a base, and take care to build your jar design so that you can cut the shape open enough to remove the bead from the center of the jar.
Other easy rounded shape figures include a snowman (make a hat to cut off for the lid), a Santa Head, ladies with large flowing dresses, roly poly dog or other animal shapes.
