Making your own props for your model horse show photos or live show performance setups is fun, and many can be made inexpensively. One such prop is a simple cross rail fence. In the real horse show world, cross rail fences are used for many purposes ranging from simple practice fences at home to jumps found in equitation and hunter classes at major horse shows. The fence pictured here is a simple cross rail fence found in riding rings everywhere. You can make this jump for your Breyer model horses. Use the instructions given previously to make the ground poles or cross poles, and then make the metal jump cups and side panels called standards. Put the whole thing together and you will have a Traditional scale jump for your Breyer horses.
