Collectible Breyer Holiday Horse Models and Accessories

Each year, collectors eagerly await Breyer's announcement of the Holiday horse. Breyer selects a Traditional scale horse or foal from their product line and produces a limited edition set. Models are bedecked with saddle blankets, Santa hats, and holiday tack, and sometimes even Father Christmas goes along for the ride! Holidays sets do increase in value over the years, with early sets in mint condition sometimes worth double their retail price. Those with carts, sleighs, and dolls are worth more than horses alone without tack and accoutrements. You can collect each set or purchase new ones as they are released. Be sure to keep all the accessories that come with the set; sets that contain all the accessories, down to the smallest tassel or ribbon, are worth more than the horses alone. 2010 marks the fourteenth set released to commemorate the holidays. "Jewel", the Breyer SR 2010 Holiday Horse, is available from major retailers nationwide starting October 1.
