Sites Offering Miniature Workshops And Courses


Although shows and clubs are the traditional workshop providers, there are adult play days, residential courses and doll's house holidays available to learn modelling skills. You can learn basic skills, new techniques, or complete a major project.

1. Shows Which Hold Regular Workshops - Pre Registration Necessary

The Kensington Dolls House Festival holds workshop at their summer show in May. You can register online at their website. They may offer some workshops at the Christmas Fair as well.

The Tom Bishop Chicago International Show holds workshops. Information is posted the fall before the show ( held in early April or late March each year)

The Philadelphia Miniaturia run a series of workshops. A registration form is available online.

2. Courses Offered by Clubs and Guilds

Local and National Clubs offer a variety of workshop programs

The IGMA Guild School holds a week long series of residential workshops in Maine each year in June as well as shorter Guild Study Programs at various museums.

National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts NAME hold houseparties and State Days throughout the year which include workshops.

Mini's 4 All hold a British Miniaturist's Workshop Weekend each year in February in Walsall, UK.

Camp Mini Ha Ha is an annual week long retreat camp for women miniaturists held each summer in the Anapolis Basin Conference Center in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.
