Finish the Box Exterior

Paint or finish the box exterior.

Paint the outside of your display box to match your décor. Make sure your outside decoration won’t distract from the miniature collection inside the box.

Or, cover the outside with fabric or paper instead of paint. A spray mount adhesive makes it easier to apply these but use it only in a well ventilated area.

Techniques used for the example. In the example shown I painted a simple wooden box the same color as the room walls, then used a pearlized paint in the same shade to apply a design with a rubber stamp. I want people to notice the contents, not the container.

Allow the box to dry.
