Begin the Trailing Base of a Miniature Bouquet

Starting with a ribbon loop, three rosebuds are laid on top of the loop and wrapped together to start a trailing rose bouquet.

This bouquet is being made as if it was going to be held by a miniature doll. If the bouquet is being used for a decoration on a package or to top a cake, you may want to keep the back wires flat, rather than bent into a handle

Start your bouquet by taking one of your wire loops and holding it in front of you so the end of the ribbon points away from you. Lay your smallest rosebud on top of the loop so that it covers the thread or floral tape that holds the loop to the wire. Take two more rosebuds and lay them back behind the first two to form a line of three buds. Keep the wires straight and flat together, don't twist them around each other, but use florist's tape or thread to wrap the stems together just behind the leaf on the third rose.
