Finish the Miniature Rose Blooms

Check the photo on this page to adjust the shape of your miniature rose petals. Curve the petals gently with the tweezers so that the lobes of each heart bend toward the back of the petal. As you add petals to your roses make sure you place them slightly lower on the wire so the base of your rose does not get too fat. Placing the rose petals will take practice. Look at silk roses, full size paper roses and real roses to see the flower shape of the different rose varieties. If you want rose buds, you use only the centre types of petals with the tightly furled side edge. To create rose buds, use three to five center type petals and no fully opened petals.
