Assemble the Materials to Make a Miniature Mortar Board or Graduation Cap

Glue, printable templates, sewing needle, embroidery thread and scissors to make graduation caps.

Materials used to make printable miniature mortarboards or graduation caps in 1:12, 1:6 and 1:24 scales for fashion dolls and teddy bears.

To Make a Miniature Mortar Board or Graduation Cap You Will Need:

  • Paper or Card Stock if you use paper for the printed template, glue it to card stock before assembly.
  • A Computer Printer
  • Sharp Scissors
  • Fine Tweezers
  • White (pva) Glue or other paper glue or glue stick
  • Embroidery Thread a five to 8 inch piece (12 to 20cm) of embroidery thread (at least 3 strands) in the appropriate color
  • Sewing Needle large enough for three strands of embroidery thread
  • A Cork or Chess Pawn or Miniature Hat Stand the size of the doll or teddies head to act as a form.
  • Felt Pen or Colored Pencil the same color as the mortarboard, to cover the white edges of the card or paper
  • 2009 Printable Mortar Board Parts from the pdf (acrobat reader) file
  • 2008 Printable Mortar Board Parts from the pdf (acrobat reader) file
