Shape the base of your flower gathering basket by gently squeezing two sides together. Make sure the basket is balanced and does not fall to one side when you set it down.

Use sharp scissors to cut across the end of your thread braid from the previous step.

Apply a small dab of glue to the underside of your basket base near the top of the waling. Use tweezers to press the end of the braid into the glue to attach the first side of the handle. This end of the braid will be covered by the basket edging so make sure it is glued close to the edge of the basket base as is shown in the photo.

Measure off braid for the handlewhen the glue has dried to hold the braid in place on the first side. Trim it from the main braid, and glue it in place opposite the first attachment point. (See photo).

Set the basket and handle aside to dry.
