The cowboy hat is a staple of model horse scenes, and western scale models. The instructions for this project show you how to make a miniature felt cowboy hat in several styles for period or contemporary scale scenes. These felt hats can be made in scales from 1:6 down to at least 1:24 scale which allows them to be used with dolls house dolls, fashion dolls, or for model horse scenes in several scales. The project requires the use of a steam iron, so children making these hats may need assistance or supervision.
