Attach Leaves to the Chrysanthemum Stem

Lesley Shepherd

Place the leaves on an eraser or foam pad, and use a blunt needle, or toothpick, or an embossing tool (or a dried out ballpoint pen) to create miniature vein patterns on each leaf.

Using the tweezers, dip the stem tip of each leaf into the white glue and glue it to the wire 1/8 to ¼ inch away from the base of the flower. Angle the leaf so it isn’t sticking straight out from the stem. Make it face up at about a 45 degree angle.

Turn the stem slightly and add another leaf ¼ inch below the first. Continue adding leave but leave the bottom 3/8 inch of the stem bare to allow you to plant it in a dolls house plant pot or miniature scene.

Glue a leaf to the top of each wire without a flower, and add leaves down these stems using the method described above.
