Assemble the Flower Petals for a Miniature Chrysanthemum - Choose the five largest pieces of wire to be flower stems (shorten the stems if you are making a plant in a smaller dolls house scale.
Carefully pierce the centre of each of your circles with a piece of wire (or use a needle) and thread a circle on to the top of the wire. Use a tiny bit of glue to secure it just below the top, then thread on two more circles, gluing each of them above the other with a tiny dab of glue at the centre. Do not glue in the fringe area. The circles of paper should be right at the top of the wire. Paint the end of the wire the same color as the flower circles.
Set aside to dry.
Shape the Flowers - When the circles have dried, use your tweezers to pull gently on each piece of fringe to curl it towards the centre of the flower. Start with the circle of fringe on the top of the wire, and curl it fairly tightly. When that circle is curled, work on the next layer of fringe, but don’t curl it as tightly.
For the final layer of fringe, curl it down slightly before you curl it up to the middle of the other fringes. This will give you a miniature ball or disbud shaped chrysanthemum.
