Prepare the Miniature Flowers - Punch out the shapes you need for the flowers. For this pot there will be five flowers with leaves on the stems. You will need three punched circles for each flower (minimum dimension 1/2 inch for a 1:12 dolls house scale plant)
Cut the circles for the flowers into a fringe, by cutting towards the centre of each flower at the quarter circle lines. Leave at least an 1/8 of an inch at the circle’s centre free of cuts. Now, using the quarter circle cuts as a guide, cut those sections in half, then cut each section in half again to make a fringed circle. Continue cutting until you have the smallest fringe you are comfortable with.
To add more detail, trim each top edge of the fringe with an angled cut on each side, to make the ends look rounded, rather than squared off.
Prepare the Leaves - you will need 12 – 15 leaves. The punch used is an oak leaf punch which is 3/8 inch long.
