Good results with miniature blackberries in dolls house scales depends on using small amounts of glue. If you are making blackberries you want the glue to allow for 4-6 beads up the sides of the berry, if you are making Loganberries, Marionberries, or any of the other longer berry types, you may want more glue.
- Squeeze out a bit of PVA (white or craft) glue into a depression on the flower palette or other glue holder.
- You can cut thread lengths of ½ to ¾ inch lengths to use for each berry, or cut the berry off a longer thread when you have formed it, choose whichever method is easiest for you.
- Dip the end of the thread into your glue to test how thick it is. You want a tiny blob of glue to be on the end of the thread (less than 1/16 of an inch or 1mm). Use green thread for berries on stems, white thread for berries which will be displayed picked. See the photo above for the correct amount of glue.
- Thin your glue if necessary, then proceed to the next step.
