  • Cut four twig pieces to the size for the miniature scale fire you wish to build. The twigs in the photo are approximately one inch (2.5 cm) long.
  • Cut two ½ inch (1.25cm) lengths of the stirring stick or craft stick. Lay these on your work surface so they are at right angles to you and approximately ¾ of an inch (2 cm) apart. Apply PVA glue to the top surface of the craft stick.
  • Position your front log across the front of the craft sticks so that the log covers the craft stick edge. Position your back log across the back of the craft sticks in the same way. This should leave you a ½ inch (1.25 cm) gap between your front and back logs where you will insert your LED's. Set this assembly of the first two logs aside to dry before you position the second logs over the LEDs (see the next step).
