The harp is the section of the lamp that holds the shade away from the bulb. Make one by wrapping a 6 inch piece of wire firmly around the light bulb socket so that it does not slip (if necessary you can hold it in place with a small piece of electricians tape).
- Bend the wire up and out on either side of the socket, away from the bulb as shown.
- Just above the bulb, twist the two wires back towards each other, and use pliers to twist them around each other once or twice.
- Cut the extra wire off above the twist as shown
