Cut the pieces for the jar
Punch out the top and base Use your largest circle punch and cut out two circles of acetate sheet for the base and shoulders of your jar
Cut the strip for the jar sides Cut a strip of acetate sheet the height you want your main jar (without the lid) and long enough to fit around the circular base you just cut, plus 1/16 – 1/8 of an inch for an overlapped seam. My cylinder is 5/8 of an inch tall and my strip is 1 1/2 inches long.
Punch out circles for the jar neck Punch out 20 – 25 small circles from the clear acrylic to form the neck of the jar. Punch out one small circle from the foil to make the jar lid.
Add decals or labels If you will be using a decal or transfer design on the jar, add it to the center of the flat strip of acetate you will use for the jar sides. For the poison jars, I used E-Z rub on transfers from Royal and Langnickel, found in the scrapbooking section of my local craft shop. It is easier to apply the labels when the plastic (acetate) is flat.
