These miniature seagulls are an easy way to learn to model a scale bird. You can make them in 1:12 scale as shown, and they are not difficult to do in 1:24 scale either. The seagulls are an easy modelling project that can be made with air dry clay (shown), from your favorite polymer clay brand, or with two part epoxy putty. Once you learn to make them standing, they can be made in a range of poses. You can use seagulls to suggest a nearby beach, or just to add a bit of life or humor to a scene.
