This card has been stamped with gold foil into recesses on the card. It was dated December 19th 1909 at 2 pm, destined once again for the child who received most of the other cards in this gallery. The sender mentions that she is having an operation for appendicitis, certainly cause for alarm in Edwardian times.
In excellent condition this card is numbered as part of a series. Cards were often kept in albums and similar cards collected to fill out a series.
Cost $4 from a used book dealer.
