Victorian Fringed Christmas Cards

This unusual four sided silk fringed Christmas card by Raphael Tuck and Sons is made of four separate cards in the Artisticseries held together with a fine cloth hinge. Cards of this type were very expensive in their day and were either delivered by hand or sent in special boxes specifically designed to mail the cards.

A ribbon tab was inset into the silk fringe to enable the recipient to open the card without tearing the fringe. [/p][p][b]Estimated Cost[/b] $20 and up depending on condition.
