Prepare the Paint The first step in making scale miniature eggs is to make the egg yolks. Mix a small amount of regular acrylic gel with a craft or liquid acrylic yellow paint, or use yellow acrylic paint straight from the tube.
Create the Yolks Use a toothpick to create small dabs of acrylic paint straight from the tube, or liquid acrylic with gel medium added. Make the dabs on the ceramic tile or other smooth surface, or if the egg will be applied to a particular surface, (windshield, face) cover the area of the miniature windshield or the doll's face with a piece of plastic film wrap, securely fixed in place, and form the yolk on top of the plastic wrap, in the area you want the raw egg to eventually be. Make sure the dabs of yellow acrylic are the slightly flattened shape of a raw egg yolk out of the shell. Leave the yolks to dry.
For broken yolks draw a toothpick through the dab of yellow paint to spread it out as if the yolk had been thrown against a surface, or drop small splatters of yellow paint off a toothpick onto the tile, and add a bit of extra paint to the center of the splatter to raise it slightly.
For Freshly Stirred Eggs add a dab of tar gel on top of the yellow yolk blob, and draw the toothpick through the tar gel and yellow paint, to create the effect of a broken and stirred yolk.
Leave the paint to dry.
