Form a Polymer Clay Handle for Your Cookie Cutter
Roll a ball of waste polymer clay to a slightly smaller diameter than your cookie cutter. Press the ball into a flat surface and pinch the top between your thumb and index finger to form a grip you can hold the clay by.
Check your cookie cutter shape to find which edge is the folded foil edge. The folded edge will be the edge you keep away from the polymer clay handle, the edge that cuts the cookie shapes. Turn over the clay and press the unfolded side of your custom cookie cutter shape gently into the flattened base of the handle, until 1/8 inch of the foil is in the handle, and 1/8 inch is clear for cutting polymer clay 'cookies'. Make sure your cookie cutter is pressed squarely into the handle so 1/8 inch is exposed on all sides of the cutter. Bake the polymer clay according to the package directions and allow to cool. Run a bead of strong pva glue along the base of the foil cookie cutter shape to make sure it is secured to the polymer clay handle.
To use your cutters to make miniature polymer clay cookies, dip the cutter blade in talcum powder or cornstarch before you cut each miniature cookie section in a piece of rolled out polymer clay.
