Begin your modifications by sanding the plastic, metal or resin miniature you want to modify. Use a fine grade sandpaper (200 or finer) and wash and dry the miniature before applying the epoxy putty.

Mix your epoxy putty according to directions and apply small amounts of putty to the sections of the model you want to modify. Wear gloves if epoxy resins bother your skin. Epoxy will wash off with soap and water during the working stages but needs to be sanded off after the putty has dried/begun to cure.

Putty can be smoothed by applying a small amount of water to the surface and smoothing it with a finger or a sculpting tool. In the early stages the putty is very sticky, some brands are easier to handle than others.
