Pre beaded wire from Crafting Expressions (Westrim Crafts) is a fast way to create garlands, bead trim for miniature hats, clothing and other accessories. The wire comes in packages of 5 yards (4.75 m.) and is available from big box craft stores. (Mine sells it alongside the wrapping paper and trims, rather than in the bead section).
The wire is available prestrung with clear glass seed beads in single colors including red, green, gold, silver and blue. The wire is stiff enough that you could easily use this trim to make spiral Christmas trees for a Christmas Village scene. The beads are the normal rough cut glass beads, so the wired strands are not perfectly even. Beads are tightly spaced on the wire. You would have to remove some when you cut a length in order to adjust the bead spacing enough to wrap the wire around itself.
If you like the look of beaded garlands but don't have the patience to string tiny beads, this may be a craft material for you!
