To cover the miniature topiary frame and base with moss, gently spread apart some clumps of reindeer moss. Apply a layer of glue to the heart frame, spreading the glue over the top edges and sides of the heart as well as the front. Begin at the top and apply the moss over the top edge and front face of the heart so that the finest strands of the moss are at the top of the heart as shown. Continue to cover the front and sides of the heart, using large pieces of moss. Don't worry if your heart shape is lost when you cover it with moss.
Flip the heart over and coat the back side of the heart with moss. Check to see that the heart base is entirely covered with moss and set the heart aside to dry.
If you are using railway scatter or flocking to coat your heart shape, cover the basic shape with a thin coating of pva glue and sprinkle flocking or railway scatter over it, until it is evenly coated. Allow the glue to dry, then shake the heart and add more scatter to areas where the heart is not completley coated.
