Holding the Crystals in Place on Your Miniature Chandelier

A wire is taken through a bead, a small loop is created and the wire threaded back through the bead.

Thread a bottom crystal or bead below a tubular bead on a piece of brass wire, then loop the wire back on itself and thread it through the bead, creating a head loop to hold the bead in place on the wire.

Make Wire Loops to Hold Crystals On A Miniature Chandelier Strand

To hold the crystals or tiny beads on the end of a strand for a mini chandelier, thread your chosen beads for the short outer layer on a strand of beading wire cut to a three inch length

Make a tiny loop in the end of your wire on the side closest to the crystal, and pass a short end of the wire back up through the crystal and into the bugle bead.

The tiny loop you make should be large enough to hold the crystal in place on the wire. If you don't like the look of the loop, you can flatten it out, making sure it stays large enough to keep the crystal from slipping off the wire.

If you are using beads instead of crystals as the end point on your chandelier strands, thread the wire through the small bead, then back up and into the longer bugle bead, making sure the small bead is centered over the hole of the longer bugle bead. (see the photos of the finished strands.)

As an Alternative you can use long jewelry head pins, which have a flat end to hold beads in place. The opposite end of the strand will need to be looped or flattened to hold the inner bead layer in place.
