Form the Back Seat Supports Trim two twigs with a y joint on them so that the join is facing up approximately 1 ½ inches from the base of the twig. (the photo doesn't show the y joints as the photograph is straight on to the twigs) The y joints will support the back of the chair seat. Place a short section of twig across between the two legs ¾ of an inch above the y joints to form the brace for the base of the chair back.

Add the Heart Detail Take the half hearts you formed by taping twigs sections together earlier and trim th base so that they will form a heart when you lay the main twig sections together. Glue the center sections together to form a heart. Set the heart in between the uprights of the chair back and glue it to the sides and the back brace. Cut a slightly curved section of twig to use as the top brace between the back supports just above the heart and glue it in place. Set aside to dry.
