This small miniature display requires very little material and is a good introduction to working with MDF or Baltic Birch Plywood for a dolls house or other miniature display. These bookends are heavy enough to support books, and large enough to create an attractive display, but their size makes them less than half the size of an average room box so they take up little shelf or table space, and require a limited amount of materials to finish.
These make good small projects for gifts, and are also useful for showing a collection with a limited number of pieces. The bookends can be scaled larger or smaller to make them useful for other scales and subjects (die cast cars, dinky toys, scale airplanes, boats or gaming miniatures).
