Preparing the Interior of a Dolls House Roombox for Lining Paper

The walls of the book board dolls house roombox are glued flush to each other and to the base.

The sides and back of the roombox are glued to the base. The top is left off to allow for some decoration.

Make Sure All The Seams are Well Glued When the sides of your roombox are securely glued in place to the base, brush a thin line of glue into all the edges on the outside of the box and leave this to dry. If the edges of the box base do not line up with the base of the walls, trim the excess board away where necessary.

The roombox gains most of its strength from the interior and exterior paper coverings. Any type of paper can be used, from tissue up to heavy wrapping paper. The paper used to cover the inside of the box does not need to be dolls house wallpaper. You can use a sheet of kraft wrapping paper to cover the interior of the box, then add in wallpaper later if you wish. If you know what your decorating scheme will be, it is easiest to add the wall paper before you put on a roof.
