To Make a Miniature Felt Hippopotamus You Will Need:

  • Small piece of felt in grey or dark brown and a small amount of pink if possible. Use the best quality felt you can find, many quilting stores carry quality felt squares.
  • Sewing needle and thread Use a fine sharps needle, you may need a longer darning needle to shape the body.
  • Sharp Scissors
  • Bent nose tweasers
  • Small amount of soft quilt batting for stuffing.
  • PVA (white) glue
  • Two small beads or teddy bear eyes

Print off a copy of the hippopotamus pattern pieces for the miniature hippopotamus. The pattern pieces are supplied as a pdf (acrobat reader) file.
