OOAK - One Of A Kind Miniatures

By , About.com Guide

Definition: OOAK - Acronym for One Of A Kind - a designation often seen on dollhouse miniatures. Meant to imply that this is an original which will not be recreated. The term is not used in a standard fashion and may be used when many copies exist in slightly different colors and arrangements so that the designation is not particularly applicable to collectibles. It is often used to distinguish between artist created items and manufactured items for dollhouses.
Examples:
She purchased an OOAK birthday cake for her dollhouse.
