The shelves in the baby house case are supported by metal shelf supports which are held in holes in the sides of the case. Each shelf will need four support holes, two on either side of the case.
To measure for your shelf supports, draw two lines on the interior of each side of the case. The lines should be drawn on the longest edge, at a depth of 1 1/2 inches in from the back and front edges of each side. Test fit the parts of your case together and using a finished roombox as a guide, mark where the support pins need to go for the shelf above the roombox. (see photo). To make the case useful for other purposes, each set of support pin holes was bracketed by a set of holes above and below, spaced one inch above and below the shelf which will fit above the roombox.
Measure your shelf support pins, and drill a set of appropriate sized holes on the inside surface of both side pieces, making sure you do not drill completely through the side. Check that the pins fit, and check the distance between the bottom of the case and the bottom of the first shelf will allow space for your roombox plus about 1/4 of an inch.
