Dolls Houses built to hold a collection of separate roomboxes in a case are also known as Baby Houses . Very similar to a dolls house, they retain their ability to revert back to their original furniture form if the roomboxes are removed. Roombox collections are often easier to work with than a full dolls house. You can choose the rooms you work on, and you don’t need to work on everything at once, or risk having the house appear unfinished. A baby house showcases a roombox collection and keeps it free of dust.

Determining the Size of Your House

The size of a baby house is determined by the size of the roombox collection it will house. This baby house is based on a collection of two sizes of roomboxes, three full sized rooms and three small rooms. It will make a case suitable for a three storey townhouse style dolls house collection. If you want to make a larger or deeper case to fit six large rooms and three small ones for a traditional three storey dolls house collection, adjust the measurements to suit.

This case was designed to match existing bookcases in order that the case could be used as a bookcase as the needs of the child or the collection change.
