To Make the Trash To Treasure Dolls House Laundry Sink You Will Need
- A Take Out Dipping Sauce, Jam or Salad Dressing Container in an appropriate size for your laundry sink. The 'chicken nugget' dipping sauce container shown is the right size and shape to mimic a dolls house laundry sink in 1:12 scale.
- Scraps of Wood, Styrene or heavy but flexible card to make legs for the sink. Traditional legs for these metal galvanized sinks were made of metal, but I made mine from coffee stir sticks for this project.
- Hobby or Craft Knife to cut the wood to size and shape
- Fine Sandpaper
- White (Pva) Glue
- Scrap of Crumpled Aluminum Foil if you want to make a galvanized lining for your sink.
- Acrylic Paints Traditional colors for the sink stands in North America are either a soft yellow/green, red or black. Grey paint is used to 'weather' the aluminum foil to resemble a galvanized lining.
