To Make the Spouts for the Miniature Coffee and Tea Pots
- Cut out the spout along the outer lines, making sure you cut away all traces of the colored lines.
- Run an embossing tool down the straight central portion and along each curved section from the top to the bottom. This will cause the edges to curl slightly.
- Fold the spout so that the two curved sides fold at a right angle to the central straight piece.
- Use the tweezers to gently curve the straight piece forward and back to match the curves on each side piece.
- Run a thin line of glue along the edges of the straight central piece, Hold the curved sides gently on the outside of the central piece to form one edge of the spout. Set aside to dry.
- When the first glued section is dry, fold the small pointed section from the base of the spout up towards the glued section. Run a thin line of glue along the edges of this small section and glue it two both curved sides across the base of the spout and up to the end of the point. Set it aside to dry.
- As the final step, glue the two curved edges together above the pointed section. Hold them gently together with tweezers and try to avoid flattening the shape. Set aside to dry
- When the spout is completely glued, use an embossing tool or a small toothpick to round the tip of the spout. Glue the spout in place, with the flat section against the front edge of the pot. Leave to dry.
