Assemble the Fruit Bowl
The fruit bowl is assembled by folding the double side in half, folding both sets of teeth to the inside, and gluing the overlapping tabs to form the side of the bowl. The white bottom circle is then glued to the bottom and the green circle is placed in the bottom interior and glued in placed
Shape the lids Cut out the lid of a canister and lay it upside down above a slightly smaller circle in the template, or on a large eraser or mouse mat. Using a paper embossing tool or a rounded toothpick end, circle around the outer edge of the lid so that the lid curves gently at the edge. Tip the lid up vertically, pressing firmly with the embossing tool to curl the edge over. Set this embossed lid aside. The oblong dish lid is created by running an embossing tool around the outside edge of the lid on the wrong side, and tipping the lid on its edge as you increase the pressure, until the edge curls over slightly.
Create a lip Cut a 1/8 inch strip of card the same length as the diameter of the lid. (Cut a longer strip and wrap it around the casserole body then trim it to length.) Overlap the strip by 1/8 to 3/16 inch and glue it into a circle. Set this hoop aside to dry and do the same for the other casseroles, mustard and honey pot lids.
When the hoops are dry, apply glue to the top of each hoop and press it firmly in place on the underside of each lid . (See illustration this page) This will form a lip which will keep the casserole or jar lid in place.
