Make Printable Miniature Hockey Jerseys From Paper
Printable dolls house scale hockey jersey ready to be glued.

To make a wearable dollhouse hockey jersey from paper, the seams on the front half of the printable are cut along the printed outline, while the back half of the jersey is given a 1/8 inch edging outside the jersey outline to act as a glue flap.

Making Basic Printable Jersey Cut Outs - The dolls house scale hockey jersey printables linked to the previous page of these instructions do not have seam or gluing allowances. If you wish, you can simply cut out the jersey designs, fold them to suit your needs or cut them in half to glue to a wall. If you fold the jersey's with the neck cut out, there are extra colored neck sections to glue to the white back of the paper to make it look as if the jersey is colored on the inside as well.

Making Three Dimensional Jerseys from Paper and Glue - You can make three dimensional jerseys by gluing on any trims you wish to feature (stickers, letters) and cutting the jerseys out with a tab to glue the front edge to. To make the glue tab, cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch outside of the printed outline of the back and back sleeves of the jersey printable as shown in the photo above. The jersey in the photo was crumpled over and over again (do this before applying trims or stickers) to make the printer paper pliable and like fabric. The Crumpled Paper Fabric Technique When the paper has been crumpled sufficiently, iron it with a dry iron to flatten out most of the wrinkles. To assemble the three dimensional jersey, cut out the opening for the head, trim and fit a piece colored paper for the neck insert if necessary, and fold the tabs for the glue line under. If necessary to make a clean fold line, make straight cuts into the corners of the jersey blue tab, as far as the colored section of the jersey (see photo above). Apply glue to the tab edge and press the front edges of the jersey lower arms and sides to the tabs on the back edges of the jersey. Leave the glue to dry. When the three dimensional jersey is dry, you can fold the arms down to drape them, or mount the jersey on a 'pole' made from a skewer to hang it open on a wall. These jerseys may also be folded for a shelf or drawer.
