Trim the Needlework Close to the Basting Stitches

Needlework basted to a backing fabric for a miniature pillow is trimmed close to the basting.

Trim the needlework 1/8 of an inch (.25 cm) away from the basting stitches. Make sure you do not pull the needlework fabric as you trim it (use sharp scissors!).

• Baste the Mini Needlework To The Cushion Backing
• The Basting Stitches Shown on the Wrong Side of the Miniature Cushion Backing
• Trim the Needlework Close to the Basting Stitches
• Prepare the Back of the Miniature Needlework Cushion
• Finished Stitching for the Miniature Needlework Cushion
• Trim the Miniature Cushion Corners
• Turn the Miniature Cushion Right Side Out and Stuff It With Batting
• Add Needles, or Use the Cushion in a Doll's House Setting
